Delivering the advertised broadband speeds

The challenge

  • Operators struggle to deliver advertised speeds for their xDSL customers
  • The cost of mobile data is a concern for telecom operators

How we solve it

We have developed an Aggregated Bandwidth Limit (ABL) feature, enabling operator to deliver hybrid-based high-speed Internet services while avoiding mobile network over use. This mechanism resides on the Hybrid Access Gateway (HAG) and gives the flexibility to set a speed cap for the aggregated bandwidth from the two networks.

Therefore, as illustrated in the above graphic, the same broadband speed is delivered to subscribers regardless of their xDSL speed, with ABL ensuring that only the necessary mobile resources are used to complete the published speed gap.
